10 Pittsburgh Stocking Stuffers for Under $5

Pittsburgh Stocking Stuffers

Tis that time of the year n'at. Yinz know... Christmas gift buying for that person that never tells you EXACTLY what he or she wants for Christmas.  Now you can buy him or her the perfect PITTSBURGH gift for under $5! Don't live in Pittsburgh and need this gift ASAP? That's okay, some of these gifts can be purchased at your local grocery store (links are also active on product name)!

1. Sarris Candies chocolates: A Canonsburg legend!  Great chocolates (and Ice Cream parlor). My personal recommendation are the individual chocolate covered pretzels, these can range from $1-$2 each!

2. Brett "The Diesel" Keisel salsa: Da Beard's salsa comes in 3 flavors: Mild, Medium and Hot and retails for $3 locally.

3. Isaly's BBQ sauce: Sure, the sauce isn't what makes Isaly's so famous! It's the chipped chopped ham! But that's not a sexy (or fresh) Christmas gift! At $2.50-$5 you can't beat it!

4. Black and Gold cupcakes: Whether it's homemade, from your local grocer, or from a place like Dozen's, Prantl's, or Oakmont Bakery, these simple delights make excellent Christmas morning treats! P.S. Yinz may need a cupcake holder if yinz desire to put these in the actual stocking.

5. Steelers Terrible Toddler Towel: We all love our traditional Terrible Towels n'at, but at $4.95 the Steelers Terrible Toddler Towel is perfect for that parent to be, and/or your children!

6. Classic Dupuis Dijon mustard: Pascal Dupuis was born to have a Dijon mustard named after him, that and win a Stanley Cup with the Pittsburgh Penguins! Retails for around $2.50 per bottle.

7. Clark Bar: Granted, this candy bar is no longer made in Pittsburgh, but the company had a 100 year tradition in the city and is still an iconic treasure (that and I personally park for Pirates games at the Clark Building)! At under a buck, why not stuff the stocking with this treat!

8. Duquesne Pilsner beer bottle: It's back! The Pittsburgh brew that started in 1899 but fell apart in the early 1970's has made a comeback at the old Latrobe Brewing Plant over in Latrobe, PA! A case will set you back $15-$20, but you can pick up a individual bottle to go for $3-$5 from a few local establishments (if your favorite bar doesn't have them, ask them to get it n'at).

9. Iron City Beer Nuts: So yinz purchased Duquesne beer over Iron City beer? Have no fear, make it up with a bottle of Iron City Beer Nuts! Found this time of the year at yinz local Giant Iggle for around five bucks!

10. Fleury Flakes cereal: Okay, this definitely isn't fitting in your stocking, but it certainly will fit deliciously in your breakfast bowl! For $3-$4 these are great for that Penguins fan!

Now all yinz have to do is pick up a couple black and gold black bows, throw them on top of these gifts and yinz will have a wonderful Yinzer Christmas n'at!

Have you seen the Brett Keisel salsa in any Giant Eagles?  Totally going to use this idea if I can find which stores have it (I'm already stocked up on my Dupuis Dijon... just wish I could still get those Kasparaitis Krunchers to go with my Jagr peanut butter lol).

SteelCityFox, you can find the Brett Keisel salsa at almost any Giant Iggle or online (click the link on the product name)! I am sure some other places probably have it as well.

Mr RayThe Penguins can, and will, win game 7 against the Red Wings. It will be close, but the two best pyalers on the ice, Crosby and Malkin will make the difference. The Stanley Cup comes back to Pittsburgh tonight!!!!!!!
